It is the year 2021.
In this parallel timeline, humanity has been far more adventurous towards space and space exploration. A long time has passed since historic earlier achievements like the first man in space in distant 1961 and moon landing in 1969. Going with the same exploitation rate and technologic development, humans reached planet Mars in 1996, in a joint Russo-American expedition known as new Columbus. Twenty-five years later, a new world space agency formed from the world's most advanced countries successfully lands on a Jupiter satellite known as Ganymede.
